Advertising is part of our daily lives. We get bombarded with everything from online banner ads, radio spots to television commercials. Companies invest on advertising campaigns to sell new products or boost the sales of existing products. Print advertisement still offers business several advantages over other mediums.

Television and online ads flash before your eye and then disappear. Print ads are constant. Every time a reader looks through a magazine, they see the ad as long as the magazine is in circulation. A print ad could be seen for months.

If the magazine features high-quality, reliable content, then the product you’re promoting in the ad gains credibility by association. The readers of that particular magazine are more likely to purchase a product or service that they see over and over.

This skincare line only uses natural ingredients, such as coconut oil and plumeria. I customized each ad by using images of the ingredients used in the product that was being promoted, while keeping a clean, fresh consistent look to all the ads.

Editorial promoting spa resorts that offer ayuverda treatments.

This article elaborated on the benefits that Ayurvedic health spas offer. Ayurveda originated in India more than 5,000 years ago and is the oldest continuously practiced health-care system in the world. With the use of script fonts, rich jewel tones, patterns used in hindu fabrics and artwork, I tried to set a mood for the article. Each spread had different tones to bring in the elements of water, earth, air and fire which are the building block of Ayuverda.
